Pretty legit strategy though

 

I used to do the same with Best Buy but Amazon now charges sales tax in Illinois. Now it's a matter of convenience over urgency.

 

My girlfriend has completely overtaken my MBP. Might buy a new iPad or a MacBook Air soon.

 

Does anybody have a Retina iMac? Are they as glorious as I imagine?

 

I have a 4K iMac and I love it.

 

Maybe wait until June if possible and get the MacBook instead? It could also be released before then.

 

Nooooo on a huge budget. If I do buy a new computer I'll probably get it refurbished anyway.

 

Back to my podcast app dilemma - is anyone having issues with some podcasts randomly showing up with really old episodes as new? Maybe just an iTunes/Podcasts.app issue?

 

Ah, ok. Yeah, I broke the bank a bit on this new iMac but my 2011 MBP is dying for the second time.

 

I was ready to pull the trigger on a new iMac actually, but then I was hit with $1400 with medical bills. My 2012 MBP is working fine with no issues, but I just never have access to it because my girlfriend uses it. Was also considering a new iPad Pro with the keyboard but it might just be a better idea to get a Macbook Air for my design work.

 

Oh yeah, the iPad Pro is a great device but not what you need for design work regardless of what Apple claims.

 

Every time I stop in an Apple Store and play with it I feel the "magic." But I have to reel myself back in because despite the awesome drawing ability, it can't run Creative Cloud's main apps.

 

And there's no real filesystem, developers are slow to build for the iPad...the list goes on and on.

 

Really tempted to sell my Air 2 and pick up one of those new Pros.

 

I love my iPad Air for travel... but I find when I'm at my place I just really prefer a laptop. Makes it hard to justify upgrading for me. But every time Apple puts out a new device I almost convince myself I need it.

Haha, yeah, I feel this. I have no real practical need for it, but I feel the urge to upgrade anyway. I mainly use my iPad for reading, so I don't really need a Pro, but the price is right. Might have to play around at an Apple store to swing the pendulum either way.

 

Very excited to have a new iPad Pro sitting at UPS waiting for me...here's to hoping I get out work early enough to pick it up today.

 

I thought I'd always have a laptop and then decided to go desktop this time around. Don't regret it one bit.

Agreed.

You might be better off waiting to see what they do later this year or next year.

 

My first gen iPad Mini is starting to get kinda laggy and slow. And it doesn't support Night Switch which is just the worst. Can't wait to pick up a new one whenever I can afford it.

 

I didn't know the price points to begin with, but did the larger iPad Pro get a price reduction with the release of the smaller one?

Look around on the internet. Some places have it discounted as low as $650 for the base model.

 

After owning the 12 inch Pro for a few months I don't think I'll ever go back to a smaller iPad. I read a lot of comics and the size is perfect. No pinching and zooming. But I did order a iPhone SE, IMHO 4 inches is the perfect size for a smartphone.

 

Can I update to the new version yet or is it still buggy!
