    Fremont, Fremont, FREMONT

I just went to Seattle a month or so ago actually. Fremont was the best, and if you like barrell aged beers, their Abominable Winter Ale was so fucking good. We also went to Elysian which was fun, but their stuff is easy to find outside Seattle. I had these other breweries listed as ideas, but didn't make it to them: Holy Mountain, Stoup, Ruebens

I've gotten so into IPAs lately. Found this delicious one called Boneshaker, gets me a pretty good buzz after two beers and tastes like a bitter fruit. It's very great.

Only local beer I've ever had was a brewery called Big Spruce and they make some pretty tasty stuff, need to actually go check out their shop

  3. Thank you kind sir. My friend lives right across the street from Stoup, so I know that was one he was targeting for me. And I can get Elysian pretty easily, as well as some Fremont. That Abominable WA sounds awesome, but I'm sure its a seasonal and would be harder to come by this time of year. I'll run the others by him as well.

Awesome, I am sure whatever you end up with is going to be good stuff

Having Bozo, Pumpkyn Porter and Founders KBS on tap is so dangerously appealing.

The company ended up sending me a bottle of Brooklyn Sorachi Ace instead of the Improved Old Fashioned, which I'm not very happy about, especially considering the Sorachi Ace was half the price of the Old Fashioned.

Is cider something that I should age?

  8. Oh, no. At least, I don't think that's something people do. I just collect bottles after I've finished them for display purposes.

ohhh, okay. I was confused for a second. I do the same thing so I hear you on that.

  10. Then again, I do have some of the Angry Orchard Farmhouse Ciders unopened in my pantry from like 2 years ago.

Making the transition over now, does this mean we're not snobs anymore?

  13. I've definitely moved on, but Angry Orchard is a regional brand, so it's usually the only cider on tap just about everywhere I go. I don't buy the bottles anymore, but I'll take it from the tap anytime.

it's on tap everywhere I go too. I think it's everywhere at this point, right?

  16. Probably. I don't get around much. It's always been in Ohio.

    ah, understandable.

while it's not beer, what's the best cider that everyone has had?

I minored in hot cakes, majored in country gravy.

I moved to Michigan from St. Louis a couple of years ago and still call it Bread Co. People here didn't believe me so I took a picture when I was home a while back and sent it to everyone. You would have thought I had sent them a picture of the golden arches attached to a Burger King.

  20. Woodchuck, but my favorite varies by season. Gumption / Summer / Pumpkin tend to be my favorites.

There aren't a lot of brands I dislike when it comes to cider.

  21. Oh, Vander Mill is really great if I can find it on tap. They can theirs, but I think the coating must be poor because cider from their cans are ridiculously tinny.

I just picked up Deschutes Mirror Pond last night, which is always a nice choice, but I also got Anchor's Orange Splash lager. I mostly got it to pander to my unhealthy SF Giants fandom, but it's surprisingly good.

  23. So happy that this thread exists on the new site.

  24. Grabbed a couple bottles of this last night. I hate beets, yet this is an amazingly delicious beer.

Bottled in memory of Phife Dawg.

Super into beer so I'll be posting in here often.

@Jason Tate, not in Portland (Tillamook) but have you had any De Garde? Everything I've had from them has been incredible.
