That's true, but you have to take into account money and team role. Since these people have to be paid, I'd rather pay Orlovsky $1 million and fill holes elsewhere instead of paying Daniel $21 million to probably never play ever. All things being equal, yeah, I'd rather have Daniel than Orlovsky. But Doug Pederson thinks this is the NBA or something.

I'd take McCarron over Jones. Definitely.

Speaking of backups. Apparently Gradkowski suffered a significant hamstring tear on Friday.

That sounds like one of the most painful things ever.

Bruce Gradkowski is still in the league?

So would I. I'd take him over almost any back-up in the league. But saying he would start on half of the teams is just ludicrous. There's only six teams he would even compete for the starting role on. I mean shit, Andy Dalton is barely an above average starting QB, how on earth is McCarron?

Somebody didn't watch a single snap of a Bengals game last year

    I don't blame you tho

Or, maybe I've seen almost every game he's played in the NFL and college and am aware he's not a top 20 QB or one that could start for even a fourth of the NFL at the moment. that's just such a ridiculous statement lol.

Also I dunno, I think Dalton is well above average. But then again we're in a pretty QB heavy NFL right now so maybe that's why, because what passes as "average" has changed. But I dunno.

But yeah McCarron could start for maybe...1 team. Maybe 2. Maybe.

Probably not but I think that's a testament to how many good QBs are in the league, not as much just him being bad.

    This is hilarious

I thought Dalton made a ton of progress last year. Was making a lot of plays that he couldn't in his first few years and really cut down on the bad throws. Sucks that he got hurt right before the playoffs.

Honestly didn't like what I saw from McCarron. Was hoping he would get better as he got more reps with the first team but he would only make maybe 2-3 impressive throws/plays a game. Offense went down the toilet once he took over.
