Imagine trying to figure that shit out in the 90s as a kid with no internet /s

The basic premise is that you get a special item in each dungeon, and that item directly helps you to get to the next area/dungeon. The feather let you jump over the holes to get access to the swamp and second dungeon. The bracelet lets you pick up rocks and pots, which means there's one or both of those somewhere keeping you from getting to the third dungeon.

Tip: buy a shovel

 

Got the shovel. I just genuinely don’t know which prairie I’m supposed to be in? There’s two places on my map so far called something prairie, and I’ve run around both and I can’t figure out where I’m supposed to be going in either of them lol

I’m in the grounds of the castle now. Some guy in his villa told me to collect something here for him, but I don’t know if I’m actually supposed to be here yet lol

 

You're on the right path. Dude wants you to get 5 golden leaves hidden in the castle and then he'll provide the path to the third dungeon

 

Oh yeah and you won't get very far without the very long trade sequence

I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since that game came out. I might have to revisit it soon.

 

Game is coming out totally in 2020.

What’s a realistic release for MP4? 2022 at the earliest?

in other news, i just picked up Blasphemous last night and the little i've played so far is really good. love the art style and combat mechanics so far

 

Would not be surprised if this is the case. Three more years sounds about right for when MP4 would come out. And that would be a hell of a launch title.

 

Metroid has never been a big money maker for Nintendo. I really can't see it being a franchise they'd want to use as a launch title.

With that said, I'd be so content with Nintendo never announcing a game in development ever again. Just drop a trailer a month before the game comes out like they did with Paper Mario this year.

 

I would not like for Nintendo to start exclusively announcing games only a month in advance. I like what they were doing pre-covid and would announce fall games inbetween Feb-August. Enough time to get hyped and time to release new trailers and gameplay every 2-3 months. The sweet spot

Nintendo doesn’t need to play everything close to the chest for a surprise announcement so close to launch. The months leading up to big titles like Smash Bros, a new Mario, a new Zelda, etc. are really fun to speculate with other fans and it would be disappointing if Nintendo took that way.

 

A few months is fine but longer than that is kinda lame

I remember like 6 years ago when Miyamoto said Pikmin 4 was nearly completed. lol. And he wasn't talking about that crappy 3DS Pikmin game either.

 

The timing seems like it could potentially line up, whether you think Metroid would be a good launch title or not (it would be).

 

The Switch could lift Metroid to new heights

 

I am so upset that the Switch doesn't have any customization options or Miiverse or Street Pass now that I've been playing my 3DS a bit again.

It gave me insensitive to use my system and it made me feel like I was actively part of a community and that community affected my games and my gameplay. They were super rad features.
