I think that version with Miley could have been pretty great if they would have reworked it a bit. The mix sounded (to me) like it was already completely put together and then they tried adding Miley on as an afterthought to see if it would work. It was just really busy, but in general it sounded cool.

This guy does great covers in general give him some love. He did a sweet rendition of the love story tik Tok thing and it kind of blew up

 

his voice in that alien song reminds me of millencolin.

 

Who knows, maybe MGK will bring pop-punk back into the mainstream

 

I feel like he already has with My Bloody Valentine. People have embraced the shit out of that and people seem to be loving the new one too.

I know we talk a lot about how tone deaf these guys seem to be to the current cultural climate, and this is just another notch in that post... sad to see what my once favorite band has become...

I’m not a fan of the artwork....but, this band has had illustrated bull testicles, a porn actress, and album titled Take off Your Pants and Jacket with icons.

So, to anyone who complained about Nine’s album art I blame you hahaha

Yeah the art work is pretty dumb. They’re such a weird band in which they tried so hard in 2003 to distance themselves as a joke band and wanted to be seen as serious and end their stage banter and joke songs. Then 13 years later they put out three unfunny joke songs on California and California Deluxe and now this cover. I don’t get it. I mean is there a 15 year old out there that thinks this cover is funny?
