My hype for everything Blink has went down since my show passed friday.

 

My show's in a week and a half and I feel the same way. I only find myself going back and listening to Cynical and that's really it. The album definitely isn't holding up well for me, especially when so much great music has come out this year that I could be listening to instead.

 

Did they take your only friend?(sorry everyone else has done this to you once I felt I at least got one in :( apologies)

tbh it sounds like they always liked seeing AVA over blink anyway.
I also don't get this criticism with the lack of 'banter' between songs.
I personally don't go to see a band to see them talk on stage for 40 minutes forcing dick jokes and gay innuendos.

 

Sorry man, it was actually one of the better Blink shows I've ever been to lol

 

Can't remember if I wrote it already or not, but last night I was really impressed with the crowd response to California songs. People went nuts for Cynical and Bored to Death. Even the chorus to Los Angeles sounded like everyone was singing along.
The Only Thing That Matters and Kings of the Weekend, though, had a very weak crowd response.

 

Headline trying to make it sound worse than it is. All Tom did was agree with a fan comment saying AVA needs to get back on the road.

Same in Nashville. The gang vocal part of No Future was insane in the crowd. We didn't get TOTM of Kings though. But cynical, BTD, no future, Los Angeles and even San Diego during sound check(lesser extent obviously) had huge crowd reactions. But the gang vocals in no future and matts parts of cynical won big time.

Yup ever since the NYC show my interest has waned. I'm sure it'll pick back up soon enough.

 

I always got the feeling that it was more of Green Day being bitter that they were playing 2nd fiddle to blink on that tour. At the time blink was one of the biggest bands in the world while Green Day was kind of fading. It never sounded like blink or even Billie Joe had any issues just Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt from the various interviews they gave.

FWIW one of the few people Tom follows on Twitter is Bille Joe so I would doubt there is any bad feelings between the two. Before the 2nd blink break up it seemed like Tom would follow and unfollow Mark every other month and he never followed Travis to my knowledge. Tom.Is.Strange.

 

Even I'm a little burned out on blink which is fine lol. I probably need a bit off from the record but I'm sure I'll get cranked back up like a week or so before I see them Sep 2nd.

 

I never knew what to make of it. I just remember some really awkward exchange backstage between Mark and Billie Joe and the seemingly awkward announcement of the Pop Disaster tour on MTV lol.

 

I remember some interview all of Green Day did and they talked shit on blink after that tour. How they all had separate buses and kept away from each other and such. Can't recall any other details.
