yeah i've been way beyond giving any promoter or talent booking department the "they must not have known" pass.

if you booked an artist with allegations, it is bad.
if you booked an artist without doing proper diligence to see who you might be subjecting your paying audience to, it is also bad.

Talib seems genuinely obsessed with Twitter, and like actually obsessed, not the way most people use that word. He tweets hundreds of times a day literally every day and is constantly in arguments with people, I don't know when he actually has time to do his podcast or rap

 

I was watching some old All Time Low videos and I was shocked at how overtly misogynistic they were, stuff that I didn't even consider bad in high school when I was watching them. The Weightless video specifically was like, so ingrained with a hatred of women for no reason.

Paramore gets more shit then they deserve, but that again that entire scene was just blanketed in deep layers of misogyny, to the point where it was mundane. So fucked that so many kids were exposed and shaped by bands like that.

I'm honestly surprised more pop punk bands aren't called out for that stuff (or maybe I'm just unaware). Going off of the above example, All Time Low is still beloved in the pop punk scene and even on here and I rarely hear people bring up their past problematic lyrics.
