i dont understand the idea thats been floated for the district my 11 year old brother is in where they'll do in person tuesdays and thursdays, like youre still getting full exposure two days a week?

  2. Is that the whole class in on those days or is the class reduced by like 50%?

Wow that makes absolutely no sense. Is there any opt out option where kids can do virtual all year or does every kid have to go in for two days?

theres an opt out option. honestly right now looks like theyre leaning for full in person classes 5 days a week with an option to opt out which is even worse but if cases increase the two days a week thing is their fall back which isnt much better which is why im like uhhhh ????

and my mom, who is very smart about the virus and god bless her, but my god shes like i dont care send him back to school because my brother is a fucking handful and the idea of him being home five days a week for a full semester after dealing with him for half the spring semester and all of summer is a nightmare for her. a lot of parents are at their breaking point with that it seems because she said her friends are all saying the same

Just seems like a lot of work to not have every kid on the same page. Like, if some of the class is virtual and some are in person, do they receive the same schoolwork, instruction, assignments, etc.? I just think there are some things you can't get virtual that you can in person and if schools try and put both virtual and in person kids on the same page it will fail.

A good example of this is science experiments/labs. You can't do those at home but obviously you can in person. How will assignments like those work in cases where the students are doing virtual learning?

yeah im really glad im not a student because the way this entire thing is being handled is going to hinder their learning

  14. This whole thing is interesting to me. I understand that private schools are businesses first, but state government has the authority to shut down restaurants, venues, etc., so it's interesting that private schools wouldn't also apply

i could be misreading this but I don't think he's saying "we" as in "yeah this is all something we all wanted to do", but more talking about "we" as in the Trump administration being the representative of America abroad, as in we, America (aka the Trump Admin) tried to coup

Especailly since I assume county health inspectors can probably shut down businesses all the time for health code violations.

Either way it seems like he's more pressed about the inefficiency of the coup and foreign policy, rather than the act of the coup.

Also, that everyone who said it was a coup was correct.

Well yeah, the point of the thread as far as I can tell is about shredding the Admin for the logic of their decisions and their failure to do anything competently. I guess we can be upset he didn't put an aside in parenthesis about how coups are bad or something but the tweeter seems to be trying really hard to make it seem like "Dem admits to attempting coup!" when he's calling Trump out for attempting a coup lol
