Hmmm. My wife hates Dr. Pepper, and loves Thrice.

I like Dr. Pepper.

Maybe Thrice is Cheerwine. It's beloved by me.

 

I still can't get over that they do encores now, when I was a dumb kid I used to think they were so cool for not doing them. I'm fully aware it's a dumb thing to complaint about haha

 

Seemed like a controversial thing to some at the time. They went from doing them to not all of the sudden during the summer of 2006. I remember Jesse specifically saying something to the effect of "this isn't an encore" the first time I saw them in '06 when they left the stage briefly and came back after a few moments.

 

Saddest/lamest moment of my time as a Brand New fan:
My parents just approached me saying I deserve a break and that they're thinking of going abroad somewhere. Did I fancy tagging along? I said yes. And then immediately thought...oh no - what if Brand New release their album when I'm gone? And maybe even a tour that I'll miss tickets to? I need to get my life together. And Brand New need to bloody hurry up.

 

Sounds like vacation would be good for you. Where ya heading?

 

Well ideally stateside, but looks like I might only have a week or so off work so in all likelihood somewhere in Europe. South of France or Spain. Something like that. (Where phone data would be free if we were to remain in the bloody EU)
Definitely could do with a holiday though yeah.

I'd love to explore Europe.

 

Yeah, I'm really lucky that, when I was growing up, holidays in Europe tended to be pretty damn cheap, so I got to go to a a lot of interesting places. Not sure how expensive they'll become once we leave the EU, but until then I'm going to try to visit some of the countries I never got to go to. (Especially considering that it's sort of my ambition to live and work in America, and if I ever managed to pull it off then I wouldn't exactly be able to hop on a cheap, quick flight at the drop of a hat anymore.)

 

So new single next week? I wish.

 

I'm flying out of state to officiate my first funeral.

So probably while I'm in the air at noon on Monday. We all remember what happened last time.

Hahaaaa nah, they'll wait til I'm on holiday.

Yeahhhh. It'll be nice not to be looking at my phone every five seconds! Although it would be really convenient if they could just announce everything before I go...
