Have we talked about how “betty” is totally a Brian Fallon song?

 

I love that we're talking about what words she sings the best, she's so great

 

Listening to this thru again makes the weird indie genre critiques even weirder. It's not even that much of a departure for her. Like it's her experimenting with different sounds but it's not like it's... Iggy azalea doing an indie record or anything where it's totally out of left field.

 

Betty is astounding. I love pretty much everything about that song.

 

I love how she goes into the little falsetto or whatever for "I had a marvelous time ruining everything" when last great american dynasty switches to first person

 

To quote what @Fucking Dustin told me earlier, "The Archer would be the best song on folklore." And he's not wrong, haha. I feel like you could say this for a couple songs on every album since Speak Now.
