Further to this @RamonaQuimby, since we're all stuck in an echo chamber, I'm interested in which pro-trans research you've looked into that you are critical of?

 

Your literally an echo chamber if someone is telling me what not to post in here since it's different than what's usually posted.

OK, Ramona, I want to be clear here that I'm not coming for you. I know a lot of other people in the thread have dismissed you at this point, so I'm tagging in for a now, and I want you to know I'm doing so in good faith.

I'm not "telling you what to post" here, you do you. But reading through everything you've posted here in the last few days, your refrain has been to assume everyone here is in an echo chamber and has done no research or pays no attention to "the other side". I'm just asking if you can substantiate your own research - at this point you've only produced a small handful of very biased videos.

 

What's this about? And why a picture and not an article? Just curious.

 

the echo chamber phrase always seems so disingenuous.

its about the quality and substance of the content I consume, read, etc. and allow to filter in in.

like its obvious, but i dont care to give a fair shake to racists who rail against BLM protests. i'd rather learn about said racists from non-racsist/anti-racist content providers.

 

the guy is like a big anti-feminst prof who i guess got "cancelled" for saying dumb sexist shit, and now he's dead but... the articles don't say it was a possible murder. i think she is trying to infer that this guy got murdered for being a sexist?

 

I've found that just like the term "cancel culture", "echo chamber" is now a term thrown around by more right leaning parties as a catch all to opposition of their views. Not that there aren't genuine talks and discussions to be had with it, but generally what I've seen.

 

Yeah I feel most of the time I see "echo chamber" used its by people who actually want you to listen to their side less critically.

Did you watch the video on what happened to him at Evergreen? It's especially sad when a student (I think it might actually have been a POC) start to defend him because she actually knows him and everyone starts the laugh and mock her.

Of course you can be critical.....no one is saying you can't be critical of what others...but be willing to engage and watch it in a good faith way then I can take the criticisms in a real way

Part of being critical is knowing what to engage with though. When people in this thread refuse to engage with Joe Rogan, its not being they're being uncritical, its quite the opposite.
