My assumption is that it will be a “live game” in the vein of Forza Horizon or like Dark Souls or Borderlands, which makes sense to me because the 360 games already took tentative steps in that direction

 

Both Halo: Infinite and Fable are going to be live games. Would make sense considering Microsoft's strategy of using compelling first-party exclusives to get people to (1) buy an Xbox Series X or Series S/Lockhart and (2) hook them on the GamePass ecosystem.

 

My guess is it's got co-op party system, but not full MMO. Several people have already pushed back on this narrative that I've seen, saying it's action RPG.

 

I’ve said a few weeks ago but Microsoft has definitely become the live game centric platform holder, which distinguishes them from Sony, which is good for the industry. The only downside for Microsoft is that most critics and a certain chunk of vocal gamers don’t play those games and even look down on them.

 

(4) people with insider info have said not to read into MMO rumor. My guess is Forza Horizon 4 style where it's singleplayer w/ co-op and party features. Who knows, games is probably 3 years away haha

 

Yeah that’s what I meant with this. More than traditional co-op, but less than an MMO.

Say what you will about the character models, but the gameplay here looks fun as hell

 

People might be calling it an "MMO" when they really mean "live game/platform". It probably has both co-op and single player, might even have a social space where you see other players, but I doubt it's literally an MMO.

Adam and Morgan, as of now, both seem to be uninvolved. Kevin Pereira is the only one to my knowledge who seems to be a part of it as of right now.
