I don’t really think freedom of speech is in danger right now but if I could mute racists forever I would

 

I wrote about this the other week. The whole situation is not even true Mike. Read into it please with people that actually know the guy. Not everything is what it seems.

 

the problem being giving racists a massive platform doesn’t mean everyone will dismiss them. People are influenced by racists and they end up voting for racist candidates, running for office themselves on racist platforms, or cause harm to others after being influenced by these racists.

 

Joe Rogan just got a quarter bil from Spotify. His “freedom of speech” is more than all of ours combined.

as someone who actually experiences racism in this thread this is dumb.

 

Can't believe that we're censoring and removing the freedom of speech from the #1 podcast host in the country who just got like ten trillion dollars from Spotify. He's so cancelled and congress has passed laws so he can't talk.

Or, maybe its that he and is all too frequent right wing guests are loud racists, huge anti-trans pieces of shit, and sexists if not straight up abusers of women who brag about it and laugh.

They have all the free speech in the world, that's why we can see them for what they are, and why we can use our own free speech to call them dipshits. Making fun of and/or not listening to Joe Rogan is not censorship or canceling or illiberal or whatever buzzwords you want to throw around, its free speech.

Think about what you’re saying. Yes please give me the opposite of fighting for the KKK’s right to march. We should eliminate them! Giving racists and bigots a platform has never worked to weed them out. Especially in a society where people are struggling and are looking for a cause for their suffering. And again you have to admit that when he has a racist shithead on, which is often, he rarely challenges them or makes them look dumb. He elevates them.

Frankly I just won’t stand for Joe Rogan being so viciously censored by these PC thugs disagreeing with the things he says on his #1 most popular podcast in the world

 

Having Alex “Sandy Hook was a hoax” Jones on your podcast multiple times should be enough to get people to not tune in and not cite his words like they are useful in discussion. Add in him having Ben Shapiro, Bari Weiss, Stefan Molyneux, Jordan Peterson, and other reactionary idiots and that’s just icing on the cake as to why he shouldn’t have an audience.

while the ACLU fought for the KKK’s right to protest, you know how towns handled the KKK? They shouted them down and, in some cases, chased them out of town. They took away their platform by making it known their racist bullshit wasn’t welcome there.

Related, you gotta kill your idols. I couldn't live with myself if I was defending a millionaire online. What a waste of my time, a waste of my life to care what other people think about someone who's rich. It doesn't matter to them, or anyone else, and it shouldn't matter to you.
