Hmm. I assume that means $400 a month on top of whatever the state pays? Ehhh not great.

If they thought $600 a week was too much but they still want to help people out, how hard is it to say, okay, an extra $1000 a month? For a lot of low range workers living in poorer areas that is at least enough to keep a lot them housed. $400 will mean...what? At least you can buy food when you’re homeless I guess?

 

That might be the worst show lineup I have ever seen.

Interesting discourse on how media/news has changed, and how censorship can ultimately destroy facets of free speech and how it is detrimental/dangerous to democracy as a whole and the repercussions of it. I assume people won't watch or give it a chance bc Joe & Matt have both been cancelled, ..and have a stigma attached to them and a reductionist view of them. I think it's a very important discussion that has needed to happen and I encourage people to watch it.

The sad part is we’d still need to do so much better. We’re getting a ton of calls from people who are behind on rent and utilities and being evicted because their hours and days were cut. These are the people we’re calling heroes that are working in grocery stores, restaurants, and hotels. They need help! However you have to do it, they can’t get left behind again. So I think you either need an efficient system for people with hours cut or give everyone an extra 1,000 or whatever. But these folks can’t be left out again, it’ll be a disaster.
