Love Ramy. About halfway through season 2 and it’s starting to really ramp up.

 

Finished Modern Love which was plesantly enjoyable quarantine material, and am 3 episodes into The Chi which has been fucking GREAT so far, I don't know why I don't hear more about the show

 

Avatar: The Legend of Korra is Coming to Netflix Next Month

Sweet. I finished Avatar on Netflix recently and have been meaning to start Korra.

 

I was about to buy it on amazon prime lol so this makes me happy.

 

I just looked at my subscriptions and TV stuff adds up to $37. Most of my subscriptions are leeched off family members right now, but I signed up for free trial weeks of Funimation (needed to finish Dragon Ball Z & Super) and ESPN+ (thought I'd be able to watch The Last Dance as it aired, was wrong) and Criterion, and became a PBS member so I could stream the Ken Burns Country Music series which I still haven't finished. Also did the Starz 3 months for $15 deal but I'm not gonna keep that when it's over

 

Just learned that HBO Max allows 3 simultaneous streams, when HBO only allowed one at a time, so no need to worry about bugging family members to ask if we can use their account anymore, woooo lol

 

I can’t even choose which episode I want to watch of a show on Hulu now? How is there UI so fucking bad?

 

What device are you using? No issues on my phone, Apple TV, or Roku

If Apple TV, press and hold on the touch pad over the show you want, and it'll take you to the list of seasons. If Roku, press the asterisk (*) button on the remote when hovering over the show you want and go to the series page

Both are very unintuitive and not obvious

 

Roku, I do hit the asterisk and when I go down, it just goes to "also like". I also tried a different show and only one season and one episode was available under "other episodes" so I think it's a bug.

Still a phenomenally bad UI

 

I think someone mentioned Giri/Haji in here somewhat recently. Just finished it and holy shit, what a show. Don't know if I've ever seen anything quite like it in terms of all the things/styles it tries (and mostly pulls off). I'm going to be thinking about the dance sequence for a long time.

 

Yessss! That sequence was incredible. The show is my biggest surprise of 2020.

I live alone (and love it), and I stream things whenever I’m bored and need something to do. I don’t really binge, and I definitely don’t watch things at set times with family and friends. I guess I do fall a little bit into the last group though

 

So my son is super into shows about females with powers (Elena of Avalor, Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure, My Little Pony, Superhero Girls, etc.) and I figured we’d try out the Netflix She-ra since he’s less easily scared of things these days. Oh my god it’s great and he loves it. It’s so well written.

 

started I'll Be Gone in the Dark last night. really good stuff so far.
