they're honestly great. it shows he's working with outside producers and writers, as opposed to noel, but it's the closer either of them have come to OG oasis in any of their projects since

 

I'll go back to the two Liam ones sooner than later in that case

Not sure if this one is unpopular or not but “The Joker” by Steve Miller is trash

 

It's certainly not amazing, but trash is a bit much

I forgot how many gems are on As You Were, Chinatown is great, Wall of Glass is a strong opener, a few more too. This album probably would actually rank higher than what I wrote from memory

 

This thread is seriously going to make me go on a britpop binge. I realized I'm not that familiar with it as I thought.

I remember liking those Theaudience albums, but then that might just be me not resisting anything Sophie Ellis-Bextor touches!

Modest Mouse are overrated. They’re good but I don’t understand why their stuff, especially the early albums, are so highly revered.

 

In Rainbows best is 100 times worse than anything here :)

 

The stages of liking Modest Mouse are like:
1. Discovering them through “Float On” or some other bigger songs
2. Getting into their older stuff and thinking “Float On” etc is poser shit
3. Realizing that “Float On” fucking rules

They have a lot of great songs. I just don’t get the amount of praise for “Moon and Antarctica” as if it’s Kid A or something.

 

Modest Mouse doesn’t have a bad album.

 

"Novocain Stain" is the only Modest Mouse song I've heard that I love.
