I just got a test this morning, too. 6-10 days. Apparently I was exposed to someone last Friday, so 8 days, who has since had symptoms and tested positive. Nothing on my end yet.

The craziest part is that I was at school working yesterday for the first time in weeks counting and organizing textbook returns so we could order an accurate count for next year. When I got the text at noon, I had to immediately pack up and leave, abandoning ship midway through for someone else to figure out. This is going to be happening all the time during the school year, with teachers leaving mid-class, kids bailing mid-day (if parents even notify us), etc. there is no logistical planning that can prepare for the preventative measures that need to be taken. And there’s definitely no way we can prepare for an actual outbreak. Total shitshow.

I kind of hope I have it so I can blast it and just let everyone know on our hot schedules app. We are all tired. We all don’t want to work. We’re being forced to. Our schedules are changing mid week because people are testing positive, but we’re being told vacation or personal. I had one person that tested positive message me telling me to get tested and said “I can’t say anything. Legality wise. Just get tested.”

 

I got a mouth swab test on Wednesday evening, got my results this morning around 730 (negative). So about 2.5 days, a little longer than the test I got a few weeks ago which took about a 32 hour turnaround

Jesus.. my uncle, who is a well-respected neurologist in the area, wants to have a private, indoor birthday party in a restaurant for my grandfather's 80th birthday with 14 people attending. My dad, sister, fiance and I were just like, are you insane!?!

Test came back negative but I’ve been told to quarantine until the 23rd. Sent my boss the letter from the doctor.
