Band was really struggling to move forward at that point-- you had Brandon and Ronnie wanting to go right back into it, while Dave and Mark were clearly ready to pump the brakes a bit. So instead of going the route they've since taken (with Dave and Mark taking a bit of a backseat), they opted to take more time off, which led to Brandon going solo again.

Brandon has mentioned a few times that he wishes that it was a Killers record (along with Flamingo).

DID YOU KNOW: The track My Own Soul's Warning is so good that it can change your entire outlook on the day?

At the delay? I’m with you. I’m crossing my fingers for August.

At this point, pretty sure they're going to miss the summer, which is too bad.

Not so much at the delay itself, just the lack of a date. Album was supposed to be out two months ago and there’s still no date.

My frustration has been answered-- from their (German) website.

  13. August 21st is the most stacked release day I've seen this year and it's not even close.

I'm only into The Killers, Bright Eyes, and Cold War Kids out of that list, and that STILL makes it a great day for music. Can't imagine how the rest of y'all who actually like most of those artists feel.

Huh? When I didn’t check for music at all I still knew Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I’ve Done, Smile Like You Mean It, When You Were Young, Human...

The even weirder part was this next post, where I legitimately don't know which song he's talking about in the second bullet point:

    i don't think it's that wrong really

they have, like, half a dozen really big songs. but they're also kind of objectively one of the biggest bands in the world? and especially with their amount of albums, you would think there would be a lot more

  24. I would argue they have more than one signature hit but you’re not completely wrong either

    signature hit: mr. brightside
similar-sounding hit you have to google: ....??? when you were young?
    franz ferdinand: somebody told me

idk, having done it at karaoke often, literally everyone knows “all these things that i’ve done.” “human” was and is huge
