Kind of mad right now because all I want to do is watch a replay of the Bears getting blanked in the pre-season, but NFL Game Pass is being troublesome.

They said they were having issues processing my credit card, yet on my card statement there are already two $1 charges from NFL.com. So clearly they weren't having issues charging me, but were having issues allowing me to access their content.

Despite having one knucklehead throw that became a INT, Sanchez actually played pretty well.

The defense looked dominant like last season. It's nice to have talented depth.

Bortles to ARob all year long. Gonna be so fun. Also, Myles Jack. My goodness.

James Sample, Neil Sterling, and Bjorn Werner stood out to me. Brandon Allen behind our actual second team line would probably be good but he was playing with third and fourth stringers all night who just weren't doing shit.

Buffalo media buzzing this morning re: a Tyrod extension. Tim Graham from The Buffalo News speculating it could be a 6 year deal. Hope there's an out if that's true, just in case.

And that's why the giants didn't even bother offering. Feels like he got worse every year

6 years, $90 million before incentives, team options included at some point

If we could get Bortles on that deal I'd take it right now

15M AAV is a bargain for a franchise QB these days

Why would Buffalo offer six years to a player after one only pretty good season? And why would Taylor take $15 million a year when he could play one more year and demand more? He certainly couldn't do any worse. Just a weird deal to offer and take to me.

I though it was smart to offer six years from Buffalo's perspective. Tyrod is only 27 and 15M per is nothing for a starting QB these days, and will be less than nothing in a few years as the cap continues to rise. Even if he falls off a little, they lock up a solid, young starter long term at below market value.

Depends on the structure, but it basically has to be 5 years to get the maximum cap savings. And a lot of teams will drop a roster bonus in year 2 that they convert to a signing bonus for even more cap savings...so, 6 year deal.

If Im Tyrod, as long as the guaranteed money is more than a franchise tag would be, I take it. Cause he could bust out this year and still make bank.

That's more of why I think it was weird for Taylor to take that. I don't know, it's just weird to see a team take a sixth round pick who was a back-up for four years and declare him their franchise QB after just one season that wasn't "six-year extension" level impressive.

Kinda genius for the Bills. They are at $130+ mil on the 2017 cap right now, meaning that franchising Tyrod might have been impossible. Use the space they have now to hand him essentially a 2yr deal, and make the cap hit in 2017 small.

Does this mean ej Manuel isn't winning the starting job back?

    interesting

  24. Damn. Solid deal both ways imo.

Bills playing it safe. If he balls out he gets paid.

Interested if that's $27.5 salary or actual cash. Like a $11 million salary with a signing bonus
