Yeah everyone seems fine with it in my experiences. It’s obvious I’m not purposely calling women or any other gender men and I’m just addressing a number of people. I do it in my classes all the time. “Okay guys let’s listen now!” Etc

But overall it’s not like it’s “offensive” but it’s not inclusive so why not try and shift to more inclusive language
Enough of our language favors men, we can change it when possible

 

Ha yeah sorry for being vague, I just don’t want to get into details at the moment that might make me emotional or down on myself by explaining them. A lot of it is stuff where I know what works for me and keeps me in better mental/physical health or just isn’t in my control, but I still get that judgment from others who expect me to follow what their experience is like.

So that’s why it’s strange to me to be told that I have anything more together than anyone else, because what I experience constantly is feeling anything but. And of course that’s sort of what we’re all going through and realizing that we were lied to throughout all of our lives about what life should be or what matters and how to get it and now we’re all horrible messes in tons of ways because we were failed as a whole.

I guess that’s also why I try to help with cooking suggestions because it’s one of the only areas of my life that I do have down and have expertise that I want to pass on since I know how important and freeing it is to feed yourself well.

 

Not involved in the conversation so sorry for butting in, but I feel like in many corners of the internet it’s almost like a bloody competition with who’s having the worst time. As a result...people who’re having a shit time kind of feel invalid or that they’re not being taken seriously.
