Cannot be arsed to play games after TLOU2. I’m just not finding interest in anything else. It’s once more time for me to sit watching people play rather than actually do it myself. I don’t have the energy. Or motivation.

I’ll look into it - been meaning to try get back into Switch games after 2 months of not even turning it on. Played Cuphead for 10 minutes last night before I succumbed to rage and stopped haha.

 

If Castle Crashers is on Switch I’d revisit that in a heartbeat.

 

TLOU2 is the video game equivalent of The Last Jedi and I’m already over the hand wringing.

 

But The Last Jedi is actually shit and TLOU2 isn't.

It’s become the new thing for people to drop into comment sections and act like it’s the worst thing in the world.

Yeah the hyperbole is astounding. Gamers are the fucking worst when they jump on the bandwagon.

 

What is it that people don’t seem to like? I don’t frequent places where I could see the backlash so I don’t know. I don’t care about spoilers by the way, so don’t hold back on my account.

 

They claim to not like certain elements of the story. I’d argue that the vast majority are full of shit and are just shitting on it because it’s apparently the cool thing to do. People that are genuinely upset by it to the extent they’re now abusing the voice actors and review-bombing it need to go outside. You don’t have to like the game...but whatever the game, is it seriously necessary to harass people over it and wish cancer on their family? It’s deplorable. And for the people review-bombing it without even playing it or owning the fucking console to play it on...there aren’t words for that level of pettiness.

 

Also I saw this a few days ago, which was interesting. When they say “one pleasant surprise” they don’t mean the rest of the game is bad by the way, just bleak.

Yeah there’s a section touching on Dina’s faith while they’re in a synagogue and it’s pretty touching. And yet even then I’ve seen anti-Semitic comments for its inclusion.

 

Let me guess, all those parts can somehow be construed as pushing some sort of “agenda” when in reality the game is just being inclusive. Or is this not one of those backlashes?

Honestly it’s just boring to talk about haha. I’d rather not give them the satisfaction anymore. Like I see this shit and it just makes me not want to play games anymore. Or at least get involved with any community aspect of it. I cannot fathom why people are such fucking bellends. It’s exhausting. I don’t understand it and I never will.
