Been so excited for this!

 

The wife and I watched the first episode last night. She was mid edible, so, I had to affirm to her it was a real show we were watching. What a train wreck.

 

We watched the first 2. So dumb but so watchable too. Will definitely be finishing the season

 

This is all I wanted to hear. It’s on my list.

 

Think I'm gonna start Pretty Little Liars next week

I've seen most of the first season like 9 years ago and liked it but my wife got annoyed at me for asking too many questions about comparisons to the books

 

it really loses the plot in later seasons and it's fucked up that as far as I'm aware the teacher never faces any consequences for dating a student

 

Oh it goes so far off the rails lol

 

I gave up midway season 5 and just read a summary instead lol

 

I just watched American Son on Netflix

surprised I haven’t seen anyone talking about it considering how topical it is rn

 

What did you think?

 

I could see how it could be “boring” to some people because (spoiler alert?) the entire movie takes place in one room in ‘real time’. And is one of those movies where the entirety of the movie is just conversation

however considering the subject matter I felt like it was still an important movie to watch. It’s not supposed to entertain you yknow. But it certainly makes you feel.

 

Kerry was amazing and I’m a sucker for any theatrical adaptation, but I felt like the writing itself didn’t really stand up to the subject matter. Some scenes were super effective for sure, I just finished it feeling like I wanted more.

 

Reminder that the new Perry Mason miniseries premiers tomo on HBO. Stars Matthew Rhys, Tatiana Maslany, and John Lithgow. I hope it's good!

 

New season of The Order was insane start to finish. Amazing season of television.

 

I’m so excited. That and Dark will make the next few weeks great.
