Graceland Too is so damn sweet.

 

I desperately want to see her do I Know the End live with like an orchestra behind her and some awesome stage production. Back up dancers in skeleton costumes, pyrotechnics, all of it lol. If there is a Grammys next year or something like that I hope they get her to do it.

 

Hell yea. I’d also love a song exploder episode on how she went about making the track

I might regret saying this about an album that has The End is Near, but I think Graceland Too is the greatest thing on here.

 

Such a small thing, but the way Phoebe sings “Windows down” in I Know the End gets me so hyped.

Had a thought...since both Phoebe & Bright Eyes are releasing records during a year where they can't tour, is there now a new chance that they could do a big tour together in 2021? Or would that simply be too much for us mere mortals to handle?

A few days late, but damn this album is beautiful! Chinese Satellite and Graceland Too are the big standouts for me.

Also woah I was not expecting I Know The End to turn into that.

 

I’m not gonna go down with my hometown in a tornado. I love that line

 

Chinese Satellite is unbelievable. I Know the End is great but almost seems to be a bit overpowering in the context of the rest of the album.

 

To me it feels like the emotional payoff to everything that comes before. The album is so subdued and tense until it finally explodes. I've not heard many other records where the closing track takes the whole thing to the next level the way I Know the End does with Punisher.

 

Road to Joy on I’m Wide Awake it’s Morning!

 

Yea it reminds me of Road to Joy and also Staying Alive (Cursive). I kind of wonder what it would sound like with just her rather than the group vocals. I think the group vocals are what puts me off a bit. Still enjoy it, don’t get me wrong.

 

I really can’t wait for the day (even if it’s years and years from now) that I can witness I Know The End live.

Halloween under DVD Menu is a head-scratcher for me...
Halloween is a great song and DVD Menu barely even counts as a song.
