Discipline and Punish is a critical read as well. Besides this one, I haven't read a ton of Foucault, but I'm familiar with his work through the ton of works I've read he's cited in. History of Sexuality, Society Must Be Defended are others I want to get to.

"Hey," she said as she pointed at her body cam. He continued to talk anyway, saying, "This motherf----- ..." The female officer cut him off and again pointed to her body cam, saying, "Hey, hey."

In another exchange, a supervisor walked up to the same officer as he talked with another officer.

"Hey … talk about this stuff after," he said. "Talk about that stuff after. OK?"

A few minutes later, as another officer who also opened fire at the Jaguar stood with colleagues, a supervisor cautioned them: "Make sure these are all off now."

Minutes later, the supervisor made his point more directly, cautioning other responding officers not to be near that same officer while their body cameras were operating.

"If anybody's got a camera on or anything like that, don't go near him until the administrative stuff goes," he said.

According to the department directive on the use of cameras, officers are not supposed to turn off the cameras until the incident has ended and further recording "will not serve a proper police purpose."

But the officers and supervisors at the scene make that decision, department officials said.

Kendrick Johnson's family sued police and the school board for 100 million and dropped the lawsuit. Now, the police and school are suing the Johnson's for almost a million dollars. This case is so fucked up.

Every day this genocide continues unabated. There is no reform to make this better. These cops need to die.

"As the carjacker hid in a house several blocks away, Thompson slept in a stranger’s yard. He was 27 years old but possessed the mental faculties of a much younger man. He loved Uno, Michael Jackson and the Lakers. He was so gentle and shy he went by the nickname Little Bo Peep, his family told the Los Angeles Times. He had a clean record and was unarmed.

From inside one of the armored vehicles, however, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies knew none of this. When Thompson didn’t respond to commands, the deputies detonated flash-bangs. When he still didn’t move, they hit him with foam bullets.

And when he allegedly ran toward them, a deputy atop the armored vehicle opened fire with an assault rifle, striking Thompson twice in the torso."

    These cops need to die???

I don't think that's the smartest solution to these situations and will only serve to result in further polarization and deaths on both sides. It is very unfortunate but Graham vs Connor ensures this shooting, although unfortunate, will not result in charges.

If you want to change the way cops respond to these situations, you will have to change the parameters in which officers are allowed, by law, to act. Because as of now, case law will back up this officer and many of the other police instances that have become blm rallying cries.

Also, the mother says she wouldn't treat an animal in this manner???

Yet her son was sleeping in a strangers front yard?

Definitely some questions need to be answered on both sides.

There are no questions that need to be answered. The man was mentally disabled, they shot him with foam bullets, he jumped up, as anyone would, and they murdered him. Will they be held accountable? It is doubtful. The point isn't that the law permits this, we under stand that. It is that the law protects and enshrines racist policy, therefore, so long as they continue to kill black people, they should be met with equal force.

So rather than work to change the law, you advise open season on cops? You're not willing to try and change the laws surrounding officers use of force policies but on the other hand expect the blm demands for reparations and other concessions to be approved by those very same lawmakers?

I've read some of what you've said. Mainly the parts about you being happy with police officers being killed that were peacefully interacting with blm protesters. Now you're advocating more cops be killed.
You're extremism sounds like an equal opposite to trump and his crew.

Hey you should go read some of those free books linked a little bit ago. the pushback of oppressed people is not on equal footing with the oppression, that is an insane thing to suggest. Go get a better understanding of what Dom actually advocates and then maybe that conversation would be worth having.

Until then, you are showing a gross misunderstanding of what has been discussed in this thread.

The difference is, my advocacy has no institutional referent. Trump's policies are actually part and parcel of our institutions. So, are we done with the idiotic false equivalencies?

Are you saying dominick is not calling the murder of cops?

And you seem to be agreeing with him so is that what you're advocating as well?
