The way CGI Neo moved in the sequels felt like an alien. The part where he rescues Morpheus and the key guy and flies toward the camera was a low point.

 

I feel like they definitely had a George Lucas prequels moment and just said “give me all the cgi I don’t care how bad it looks”

 

I think the series as a whole is more interesting and worthwhile to just think and talk about instead of actually watching, lol

I guess that’s why I’m interested in more, just to see how they expand/reboot it.

The article doesn’t actually paint it as that bad. People were given tests and had to wear masks to enter. Reeves was only there for a hot minute. No one seems to be “under fire” due to it.
