This happens like every other time I try to use it. Honestly I think most of the times it doesn't work is that cashiers don't realize it's happening / how it works.

See, this is a bit of a problem. When it comes to what Apple is trying to say with this change, I agree. I am not the biggest fan of guns -- I'm european, after all.

That said, when I send someone a squirty water pistol, and they see a gun, that might lead to some confusion. So as many people before me have suggested, the toy gun should've been a variant, not a replacement.

Or maybe it's like how icee machines at movie theaters and milkshake machines at McDonald's are always "broken;" I.E. the employees can't be bothered to use it, ha.

The thin line between having fun with water guns and threatening people.

Definitely could see this as being the case in a lot of instances. The percentage of people who actually use this is still probably really small. Haha going to try it again next time and we will see. This is when I think it would be cool to have an Apple Watch is when checking out via Apple Pay.

hey all, so my iphone is running out of storage space for photos and videos (I assume this has happened to most of y'all). What do you use to back them up? Are any of you paying for increased icloud space or are you using dropbox/google photos?

  8. I back everything up to Dropbox any way, but I do also pay the 99 cents for 50gb of iCloud (that should be free, Apple). I recommend just taking a bunch of the old ones off and storing them on your computer/dropbox.

I'm never buying a mac again. I spent $2100 plus tax on this piece of shit and it's had 3 different hardware failures in less than 2 years, none of them due to physical damage. Only the first one happened under warranty. I can't even get it to boot into the diagnostics menu anymore to try and give tech support more info. And because I didn't have another $300 to spend the day I dropped two grand to buy it in the first place, and you can't buy Apple care after the warranty expires even if you just got it back from Apple, I now have to come up with another $310 + tax to get it fixed AGAIN. Money I don't have and can't make without my computer.

Just went to turn on my 2010 MacBook Pro and it won't turn on or charge (no light when plugged in.) Genius Bar appointment scheduled for Monday. Any suggestions until then?

Anyone on the iOS 10 beta? been thinking of installing but i don't want to deal with all my current apps crashing and stuff. I mostly care about Spotify, Tweetbot and Overcast

Tweetbot and Overcast haven't crashed much at all for me. Although, sync seems to be off in Tweetbot. I'm also on beta for my Mac though so I'm not super surprised by that.

Tbh, this beta has been solid since the beginning. I don't know that I've had more than a handful of app crashes, and that was in beta 1 or 2.

I've had messsges and music crashing pretty often in the beta and those are Apple's own apps lol

Had an issue for a couple days where I couldn't open certain message threads, app would just crash every time I clicked on them. I don't text much so it wasn't a big deal and the new beta fixed it so *shrug*

Question from an Android user who's considering an iPhone at some point in the future -- do you guys find that the battery life is satisfactory even while using the device both as a phone and a music player? This is a concern for me since i'm not super happy with my current phone's battery life, and I don't even use it for music most of the time.

This beta has been surprisingly strong from the start. Beta 4 actually felt like a final release.

I really want to hold out for whatever the "10 Year" phone may be but my 6 is on it's last legs and I feel like you need 3D touch to get the most out of iOS10 based on the small time I spent with the beta.
