So glad someone mentioned AM. Their debut would be my pick, but those first two albums are stellar pieces of indie rock

  14. I honestly just need to spend more time with their debut! I have it but never gave it much attention, I'll have to fix that haha

Listening to The Ugly Organ and Cursive in general for the first time right now. Pretty cool. Not what I thought it would sound like, a lot more intricate instrumentation than I expected, unsure why.

Some of my favourite 00s indie rock albums would be:

    Autolux - Future Perfect
Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It in People
The Appleseed Cast - Low Level Owl: Volume 1 & 2
    The Antlers - Hospice
Carissa's Wierd - Songs About Leaving
Modest Mouse - The Moon & Antarctica
Unwound - Leaves Turn Inside You

The 00's was every bit as good as the 90s and 80s when it came to indie rock. In ten or fifteen years time this will become more obvious.

    I agree with all the MM, Death Cab, AM, P.TM albums mentioned above. I'd add;

    Person L - The Positives
The Starting Line - Direction/Based on A True Story
    Steel Train - Trampoline
    Weatherbox - American Art/Cosmic Drama
    Manchester Orchestra - Virgin/METN
The Matches - Decomposer/A Band In Hope
Dear & The Headlights - Drunk Like Bible Times/Small Steps, Heavy Hooves (Forgot about these, gonna spin them today)
    Deer Tick - War Elephant
Envy On The Coast - Lucy Grey
Margot & The Nuclear So and So's - Dust of Retreat/Animal
Wild Sweet Orange - We Have Cause To Be Uneasy (I think this album needs attention by everyone on this site)
Tokyo Police Club - Elephant Shell
    Tickle Me Pink - Madeline
    Thrice - Beggars/Alchemy Index
    Say Anything - IARB/IDOTG

Note: I'm really bad at determining the correct genre

It's a brilliant little punk tinged indie rock album. And what Cody said, that closer is among the best ever

Honestly I think Dino Jr's 200's output is some of their best stuff yet and beats out like half of their 80's/90's material. New album is grrrrreat
