Congrats! It took me and my wife 3 years, including 4 (early) miscarriages and 3 failed IVF cycles, and luckily we ended up with boy/girl twins who are about 9.5 weeks now. With both of us being 34, and we wouldn't start trying again until at least 35 if not 36, I don't know if we could go through all that again.

Anybody else's child scream their head off anytime they get a diaper change? Such a wonderful feeling really!

Oh god every time lately. He does it when we want to change his clothes now too.

    Feels great!

He's just so mobile and wants to sit and is fine then but he still needs pants lol. Also his favorite thing to do is touch himself while I'm trying to change his poop diaper, that's real fun as well.

Yeeeeeep. For us he gets real mad when we put the shirt over his head, then again when we put his arms through, and then again when we button it up at the bottom. And oh man yes the touching. He just wants to touch himself and then touch everything else after he's touched himself. He has gotten kind of funny about needing to poop. He just stops everything he's doing and makes serious, prolonged eye contact while he's sitting there pushing like he's thinking "you watch me do this. Don't look away. We're doing this together."

He walks almost exclusively now, almost runs at this point, so damn fast. He is starting to jabber a lot as well, so words aren't too far off. The other day I was ready him Go Dog Go and I kept pointing at the dogs saying "doggy" and he was legit trying to say it. So...we're close haha

How about yours? Getting sleep over there?

Mine is almost 8 months and picking himself up to a standing position, it's blowing my mind really. Still breastfeeding, but now he's eating fruits and veggies (not puree'd). No teeth yet, but I could swear he's teething, he's been super cranky this week, fingers in mouth, etc., but there is nothing visibly coming in.

He's not quite walking but he's standing on EVERYTHING and walking himself along and he'll walk from room to room while we hold his hands. If he can get the balance thing down he should be able to actually walk soon.

He's definitely babbling a lot but no real coherent words just sounds over and over. Trying to work with him on it though.

Sleep is great as usual, no noticeable differences since about month 3 except waking up maybe 30 minutes earlier in the morning. I'm not gonna complain about 30 minutes.
Damn, no teeth?! My dudes got fucking 8! Be lucky he's not biting/chewing everything yet.

Sleep has been terrible the past 4 or 5 nights. He goes to bed at 8 like he normally does, but he wakes up at 11PM screaming, we can't figure out why. She eventually feeds him from the boob, but I'm trying to convince her to stop that, I think he's doing it on purpose to get nursed back to sleep. First we thought he was teething, hence the fuzziness, but I don't think that's it anymore.

  13. Celia went through something similar recently, she had an awful two weeks with sleep. We started leaving the AC in the living room on overnight and I think the sound helps her (it's pretty loud in the living room but in her room it's kinda calming). We were thinking she might just get freaked out when she wakes up and it's pitch black and silent. We also started leaving her shade slightly open so that it's not 100% darkness and both of those things seem to have helped her, not sure if it was a coincidence or what but I'll take it.

He's had ocean sounds on since the day he was born, plus there's a light coming from the LED clock display so it's not pitch black either. It's rough man, when you get used to him sleeping for 8 hours straight and now it's every three hours or so... back to his newborn days really.

  15. I hear ya, those nights are awful. Thankfully ours is back to 10 hours or so (usually 8:30 to 6:30), which is pretty great. It's possible yours is hitting a growth spurt and is actually just hungrier than normal during the night? Hard to tell, but hope it gets better for you soon.

My kid is way too serious lately. I think it's because my wife makes her do photoshoots in shit like this.

Wait until he gets into the 'grab and pull' mode...my son grabs EVERYTHING and then pulls or throws. We pretty much had to rearrange our entire house to get things away from his eye level. If it can be grabbed, he'll pull it. If it has buttons, he'll press them. It's crazy.

My son is ten months now and still can't crawl. He's been in physical therapy since he was four months old because he has always been tight on the right side of his neck and thus tilts his head to the right and scrunches his right arm up. I guess it was due to the way the placenta rested on him in the womb. He's gotten a lot better due to the physical therapy, but this has slowed him down overall physically. He can turn himself around with ease and roll everywhere and he keeps trying to crawl, but he can't get his right leg up. We've been told that, again, this is because of his issues with his right side. He got so acclimated to the left that for a while he wasn't aware of his right. He does babble like a fiend though. Says mama and dada and now knows the word "ball". It's pretty adorable when we ask "can you say ball?" and he lights up and responds with an excited "ball!"

I'll enjoy this until he learns "no" and the power it holds.

Oh we're there! I constantly have to rescue my wife because he pulls her hair and laughs. He also pulls the cats tails and laughs. Yes my son is a psychopath
Hope everything gets better! My dude still isn't really speaking other than "bah, bah, bah" "mah, mah, mah" and "dah, dah, dah" but no real words yet. He sure knows how to shake his head "No" though and smiles and laughs while doing so
