My partner and her siblings had laid out specific bullet points to respond to their mom when she reposted the Candace Owens video. They were thoughtful and respectful, but obviously very forceful. And she just hung up the phone when they called her. I don't wanna hear any of these "we need to have a conversation" arguments.

 

Anyway you can share this list? I will be facing this convo at some point today with my partners mom. Have some of my own points but any extra ammo would be great.

 

im really focusing on speaking to people that are already “liberal” but maybe still pro police, I think those conversations are easier right now than trying to convince my conservative parents of anything

 

Some people will not be reached. It's sad but some people are so stuck that no amount of fact or video evidence could convince them, they are so engrained in their ignorance and hate. At least your partner and her siblings are trying to have the hard conversations, I feel for them.

My girlfriend is having a hard time with her mother, who claims she can't be racist because she grew up in Queens. Yesterday she told her mom to delete her number because she's just a poison on her life now. A lot of hard realities are being faced for a lot of families in this.
