I was always under the impression that horses were used by police in crowd control situations specifically because they are intimidating. Similar to how they were partly a psychological weapon back in medieval warfare times.

When that backfires on you and you ride your horse straight into a fucking light pole like a spectacular idiot, well that's your bad.

Right wing twitter today is awash in 1. Paying way more attention to the Jacob Frey video than any left winger cares about, and 2. Celebrating the "abolish the police"/"Defund the police" slogan because they see it as a political winner

 

I find this type of action equally as fucked up and threatening to our country as the stuff that is actually happening on the streets in the thick of it all, if not moreso.

 

Capitalists are natural Marxists. I recommend reading this whole article to see that developers very easily understand how vital the police are when it comes to helping their bottom line
