I'm on the fence with this actually. I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

 

Josh Rosen though

 

Lots of hype surrounding them and although I think they may be one more year away, nothing would surprise me with this team this year. Helps that we get Stanford/USC both at home this year.

The offense has a few question marks but the defense should be incredible.

 

Yeah I'm sure he's going out there without having any training or doing anything baseball related to prepare for the try out....

It's not like he has repeatedly praised for having an amazing work ethic or the drive to be the best he can be or anything like that....

Sorry, I'm not buying it. A dude with a career of issues with throwing mechanics isn't going to magically adapt to a new style of throwing (say what you want but a decade-plus of inactivity qualifies as this) at age 29.

 

If work ethic and drive were all it took, Tebow would be an NFL star and not trying out for baseball.

 

Though I do think it's funny that he's willing to switch sports but steadfastly refused to consider a position other than quarterback

 

The best part is when they tell him he could play outfield and he refuses to do anything but pitch.

Baseball mechanics are different than football mechanics. He's not going to be a pitcher anyway and by those that have seen him, he's obviously not out there playing like Smalls before the Jet bestowed upon him magic baseball powers.

The whole point was I don't get what's so funny or why it is killing you. My guess is you just don't like Tim Tebow.

 

I'm indifferent to Tebow. The idea of a 29 year old man trying to make a run in baseball is pretty funny, no?

The weird hostility makes sense given how much media attention Tebow sucks up if he so much as passes gas

 

Can't fault a guy for what the media chooses to report on, and if we're being honest, a lot of that reporting is meant as an indirect mockery.

 

Not really. You make choices on whether or not to let something upset you. Tim Tebow doesn't make the media follow him around. He's a popular figure. If his media time makes you angry and you aim your hostility towards him, that's just weird.

 

I mean, doesn't he though?
