I’m sure Arlington people are going to Dallas but Fort Worth has been having some pretty good sized protests this whole time, too. And mostly been fairly peaceful. If I remember correctly, there was “only” one night where tear gas was used.

 

Yeah, I mean I'm just saying that there are definitely people from neighboring towns going to Dallas protests and so the mayor pointing out people not being "residents" is just dumb lol

 

Oh, yeah, no doubt. There’s tons of surrounding areas that funnel people into Dallas for a lot of reasons. We’re a massive metroplex.

 

Man I love how Florida officials are worried about a COVID-19 outbreak with the protest, but are still going “fuck it! We’re moving to phase 2 of reopening on Friday.”

 

Because they were never worried
People had already totally given up here, at least in my area
They were fully convinced it was over before any of the protests happened
