if the military personnel are unarmed this might actually work. Which is like, fucked up that that you need to the military to do the police's job because the police is over militarized. But if the cops can't do the job right, replacing them with national guard members who can seems like a good move.

of course, if the military personnel is armed then all you're doing is furthering the militizartion of the police to even more repulsive levels.

From what I’ve seen, the National Guard being sent in places do seem to be infinitely more calm and sympathetic than the fucking police. Not that I’m exactly a fan of them being here like this but I have yet to see evidence that it’s worse than the cops. Which makes sense bc National Guard AREN'T cops. So idfk why MattY would even give the slightest credence to the issue of sending in the fucking military. He’s truly just mostly a troll at this point

 

I don’t know I’m pretty sure Kent State has a story to tell about the national guard’s presence at protests
