Has James always been so quiet? He barely says anything in these chats, haha

Unfortunately it still has a lot of stuff muted because of the copyright stuff. I was waiting for it to go to YouTube hoping it would fix the issue so I could finish the stream, looks like that’s not gonna happen.

I think you can still watch it on their Twitch page; are bits muted on there too?

Yep. That’s why I was waiting for the YouTube upload.

Catching up on the DTGL stream. It’s so funny because while watching the LITSOS stream, I was like “yep, this album is definitely my favorite.” And then DTGL pops in and I’m like “damn, I think this is my favorite.”

I think it boils down to LITSOS being my favorite overall album as a cohesive whole, and then DTGL holding my favorite individual songs separately. Both are AMAZING.

I was so hyped to see Jason Butller hopped on, he’s a voice I really needed to hear from in these times.

  11. Yeah, I do love that they still joke about it in the exact same way as in the They're Only Chasing Safety making of lol

"Salmarnir"'s fine but it's just a transitional piece to me, like if I'm not listening to the whole album through then I'm not going out of my way to put it on lol. whereas "Returning" especially gets spun on the regular

Little story about one of my biggest vinyl regrets, which was the Rebirth DTGL/TOCS vinyl pressing from when they reunited. I was about a year away from starting my vinyl collection, so despite being the first person in line at the Self Help Fest show in San Bernardino (which was the second stop after their hometown date), I opted to not purchase the vinyl. I did end up making a friend in line, who I hung out with for the remainder of the day. When it came time for Underoath to take the stage, he really wanted to go mosh and let loose, and I was content being up against one of the barriers that divided the crowd. So, he trusted a complete stranger (me) to hold his vinyl for him during their set, and he found me afterwards to retrieve it. I was happy to keep his vinyl safe, and it meant a lot to be trusted like that. With all of that said, I realllllly wish I would've purchased a copy at that show, especially after seeing the prices to jump upwards of $250+. I remember they found some in a warehouse a few years back, and I SWEAR someone with a bot snatched them up, because their webstore broke immediately when I went to order it. I remember a lot of people being upset about it. Granted, I think it was only like 40 copies or something.

TLDR: I really hope they repress their discography at some point to push back against the scalping.

So is Underoath working on a new record perhaps? I know that Erase Me came out 2 years ago but still.

  15. They’ve got 4 of the streams on their youtube now. Still waiting on TOCS...

  17. One of the recurring phrases they've uttered in the livestreams is "...when it's time for us to make a new record" so it doesn't seem like they were far in the process. They can be very quick though, so if they're able to start recording before 2021, I can imagine a similar rollout to Erase Me, with the album in our hands by next Spring.

Yeah he's always so quiet. Then he talks in that southern accent and I'm like wow every time.

The dvd that came with TOCS, they made fun of him all the time because he barely spoke.

  20. Honestly if it wasn't for the chorus.fm thread I wouldn't have known about it. It was announced and released in such a quick manner.

    These live streams are great.

disambiguation is such a great record and Daniel seems like the nicest human ever.

Also made me re listen to erase me again.
There is a really good 8-9 track album out of those 13 songs. The super poppy rapture/wake me stuff was even more shocking after listening to disambiguation front to back. But I now get more of what they were attempting to do.
