Mission complete

 

I'm now at Silver IV in CS, been a fun climb so far, think I'd be satisfied hitting Silver Master or Gold Nova

 

From what I have watched so far of No Man's Sky (watching a stream right now) doesn't look all that great, not necessarily bad but just looks like a large proportion of it is what we have seen in other games before.

 

I started replaying it too this summer since I was limited to my PS3 for a while. It really shows how amazing the game is seeing that the graphics still hold up to current generation top-tier games. I got up to the part with the Humvee chase.

 

Near 2 hr quick look, game looks alright.

 

Been playing The Forest and while I really love this game, it also reminds me what a blight early access can be.

 

When I finally get off my starting planet in No Man's Sky I'll be like:
"(Twenty seconds and counting)
(T-minus fifteen seconds, guidance is internal)
(twelve, eleven, ten, nine)
(Ignition sequence start)
(Six, five, four, three, two, one)
(Zero, all engine running)
(Lift off, we have a liftoff)"

 

Mine was more like "what fucking button do i push to fly dis ship?"

It's hold R2 to launch. I was just pressing it and was getting so mad that nothing was happening.

 

Agreed. Watching Puppey get eliminated yesterday was rough. OG losing so early was really surprising to me too.

 

I like all the players on OG, but once my team gets eliminated (RIP secret) i immediately shift to cheering for the underdog, so I was sooooo happy when MVP was able to pull that upset. I'd be completely in shock if OG loses in the LB tonight though.

 

Not looking great for NMS so far. Most big sites are doing the stupid 'review in progress' thing but early impressions aren't glowing, and although Metacritic user scores are awful it's currently sitting on a 4.8.

Watched a few YouTubers too and the majority have a 'not good, not bad' type view.

Hope the people in here playing enjoy it though.

 

All three Dead Rising games for $49.99? Really hard to resist that...

Though I'd prefer just 1-2 for $29.99 haha

 

I haven't played the original Dead Rising in almost a decade. Excited to play it again, I just hope it's as good as I remember.

 

user reviews for any somewhat controversial game are going to be terrible, it means nothing.

 

Started playing Destiny: The Taken King again this past weekend and it totally reinvigorated the game for me. As someone who clocked dozens of hours into the vanilla game, I had no clue how far it's come since then (and I loved it then). Rushing to hit level 40, but I'm having way more fun than expected. (my XBL gamertag is Sharkboyyy if anyone wants to squad up sometime)

 

Not to mention that 4chan is actively giving this game negative reviews

 

Well yeah, like I said, user reviews are expectedly bad, but the professional reviews and youtubers aren't overly impressed either.

It's gonna be a love/hate thing, for sure.

 

so, I have not played the game in a loooooooooong time. what's so different about it now?

 

I'm interested to play NMS but I've tried survival games and none of them (besides maybe Don't Starve) have really resonated with me. I'll probably wait for a good sale to give it a shot.

 

Yeah I was definitely happy for MVP. Really interested to see how EG does today too, feel like everyone was surprised they made it to the upper bracket. Those are probably the teams I'm rooting for most at this point.
