I imagine war/terrorism is probably a more visceral comparison and easier to grab on to. I’m not sure how many people died of Spanish flu, but I know what it’s like to have a 9/11 every single day

Lol this “freedom March of NJ” is very lame. Rode by on my bike and there’s probably 100-200 people there. Saw some trump flags, American flags, and a don’t tread on me flag. And obviously, no masks.

Man, thinking about the rationing during WW2 and just how much people were willing to sacrifice back then vs the attitudes today.

I mean shit, we had a national speed limit and the FedGov literally confiscated tires from people lol. If we had that today we’d have conservatives burning spare tires in their back yards all over Twitter and people would be holding “Speeding for Freedom” rallies where they all did 90 down a residential road or some shit.
