Xenoblade 1 combat is way better than Xenoblade 2

 

Both are great

 

The only one I ever really mastered was the first Xenoblade combat system. I hit a wall with X and 2 and couldn't finish a lot of the postgame stuff because I couldn't just grind my way through it, especially X with a level 60 cap.

 

I love the combat and X and 2. Torna was a step down compared to the main game but still fun enough.

 

I still didn’t know what I was doing after 50 hours of XC2 combat

maybe I should do another playthrough

 

@oldjersey how long did it take you to beat Trials? I've beat 6 of the 8 Benevedons and I'm only about 19 hours in.

 

They introduce new stuff until the very end lol

 

My game timer was around 30 but I left it on pause a couple times. I'd say probably around 25 hours cause I grinded a lot before the end.

 

for anyone like me who has been dying to grab Baldur's Gate I & II on Switch but didn't wanna pay fuckin 50 dollars, they're on sale for 30 on Amazon rn

 

Have you played a game like that before? Always kind of intimidates me to get started.

 

yeah ive played 2. the meat is the writing and player freedom more than anything. havent you played Divinity II?

 

Yeah and I was quite mediocre at it and wanted to start over once I learned how to really play.

 

i haven't played it to compare but this one is, from what i understand of DoSII, less combat focused if that helps

 

This is gonna sound dumb but not surprising at all. I have brutal ADHD that is untreated right now, it really messes with my ability to keep my attention on things which I think really hurts me in these games. My new health insurance is going to kick in after another 45 days or so then I can do something about it.


It also explains a lot about me lol.

 

no i get ya. sorry man that sucks. i have a hard time focusing on these kinds of games in general too, only when a specific mood strikes

 

bg2 is one of the best games of all time. that being said, i'm not sure i'd want to play through it again on switch, especially without all of the keyboard controls that i find super helpful in a game like this

I just realised XC is only two weeks away omg

 

Thinking about pulling the trigger on Super Mega Baseball 3. I downloaded RBI 2020 last month and it's hot garbage. It's not licensed, but at least SMB feels like the designers actually gave a shit.

 

Is anyone here familiar with Super Mega Baseball? It got solid reviews and looks like it's fun. I'm willing to overlook the fact it's not licensed by MLB if it's good gameplay.

 

it’s a super fun game once you get into the higher difficulties also the customization of your team is pretty fun

I won’t buy the new one though because I got the other two for free and don’t need the new one

 

Yeah, I'm having a hard time justifying paying $45 for the new one, when it's so similar to 2. But the franchise mode is very appealing.

 

i already bought and preloaded miku (WOO @Vase Full Of Rocks) so I don't mind waiting 2 weeks for XC1.

also i'm still playing FFTA2. it's easy and the jobs are not balanced at all, but it still an amazing game. i also just found out SE released a Final Fantasy Tactics type mobile game but it really just wasn't for me
