Watched the Japanese women's basketball team beat Belarus earlier, good game. I've missed sports lol

 

What is the schedule everyone looks at? The one I use is fucked up and wrong.

 

I've been using the NBC Olympics app on my phone. It's not great by any means but they have the option for "today's schedule" that seems to have (mostly) accurate times. It has labels for sports that are happening "live" and then I go and watch those through the live streaming on my Roku... It's a few extra steps but I can see what I actually want.

NBC (and affiliate) coverage on TV really focuses on stuff with Team USA so you can miss out on stuff but the live streaming shows everything.

Interesting website I hadn't seen: rule40

 

The Olympics was created for "amateurs" (rich people with free time) and frowned upon professional athletes.

These rules still exist because of "amateurism."

 

I couldn't believe rule 40 when I read it. So dumb.

Finally delving into the Olympics and checking out the Day 1 Boxing preliminaries.

 

The road race? maybe i'll check out yesterday's and today's races then. I've always found Track and BMX are really exciting to watch, but I thought Road and Mountain Cycling were terribly boring.
