It's due to the heat. I went in 2012 and it was no joke.

Selling a ticket to Pomona for cheap! I can't go so I just wanna get rid of it!

that is awesome... but pretty sad (how few people there are). Really makes me bummed out and makes me less and less confident that great bands like NOFX, Bouncing Souls, Bad Religion, etc. would play... but I still have my hope they will

I think if a band does the full tour, or at least a longer run, they'd get a bigger draw. Warped tends to promote the full tour bands more, and bands can build momentum as the tour goes on.

Yeah, it's really hard to build anticipation for a band that only does 1-3 shows

I don't think that's true. I am sure the crowds for Bullet For My Valentine were huge. The Vandals just won't draw well at Warped Tour.

It's not productive to promote a band that's playing 3 shows unless Warped wants a string of "but they're not playing my date!" comments all across social media. It happens with the partial run bands every year. There is no good way to promote a band that's on 3 dates. End of story.

Saw a band on Facebook (Between Califonia and Summer) post a picture of the Ernie Ball stage with a set time for today. So apparently Ernie Ball stage is in Pomona today

They were, same with Atreyu (though they did a few more). Aside from Sum 41 and maybe a couple others, they seemed like the biggest of the days.

The Vandals not drawing well is either just bad luck (the city they played) or, a sadder potential truth, that Warped just doesn't like punk. One off bands draw huge, look at Linkin Park or ADTR. Sure The Vandals aren't as big as those bands *currently* but they're a much more legendary and notable band in the scene and roots of what Warped tour is. It's sad and honestly just kind of embarrassing that they'd play and have such a just-OK draw

For anyone wondering why Less Than Jake always play sorta early before an off-day, it's because Vinnie their drummer flies home when there's a day off to spend time with his wife and daughter.

They had an off date after Scranton and still played at 6. I think that might have been LTJ joking around on stage haha. Unless you heard it from somewhere else of course.

Honestly, Vanna's set blew me the fuck away! I wasn't really expecting that since ETID went on before them and are renowned for their live shows, and I also haven't really cared much for Vanna's recent material. But ho-lee shit, they had easily the most intense set of the entire day. At one point Davey and their guitarist jumped into the pit and commanded the crowd to create a 'tornado' around them - and they basically did that! Will definitely see them on tour again later this year (their merch guy said they'd be coming back through CA in the fall.)

ETID were, of course, awesome. Reel Big Fish were a lot of fun. And even with being the final set of the night and everyone exhausted, Yellowcard's set was a complete barnburner (for a brief moment they had one gigantic circle pit that eventually broke into three.) The Maine were also surprisingly fun!

I initially wasn't going to see The Story So Far what with the kicking a teenage girl in the back of the head, but... I caved. It was another two hours to Yellowcard and do like some of their songs. Was surprised at the absolute lack of stage presence of their frontman, but I guess that speaks to how fun the songs are.

I'm a little bummed that I missed Less Than Jake (they played first thing and I was in an hour-long entrance line,) and I think I would've liked to have seen Masked Intruder - only know one song, but I'm sure their set's a lot of fun.

But other than that, I pretty much saw every band I wanted to see and wasn't disappointed!

Oh, and they had a food truck selling churro sundaes - sprinkled with Fruity Pebbles.

Not sure it could've been much better!
