I just wish it was more than 3 bottles to make it worth it.

I finally stopped procrastinating and ordered Scott Janish’s book on hops.

Cashmere is a great hop. I think my favourites at the moment are Antipodean hops. I used to be a big fan of Citra, but it’s a bit too much now.

Also, apologies, a bit of self promotion here... if anyone here is a beerstgrammer, I’ll be having a chat on Instagram live tomorrow with Pat from Other Half. I’ll be talking about how the current pandemic has effected the brewing industry and my job selling beer.

For sure, feel like there are so many nz hops that aren’t used enough and when they are it’s usually along side something like citra or mosaic. Need my Nelson and riwaka single hop ipas. Who do you work for?

Quarantine seems to be treating you well, but I see NO BEER!!

There are a few breweries over here that run a series of single NZ hop pale ales. Citra and mosaic just tend to completely overshadow everything else. Sometimes I don’t want a nose full of tropical fruit, thank you.

I work for a small brewery in London called Solvay Society. We brew Belgian style beers

Thats cool. Not very up to speed on many UK breweries outside of some of the bigger craft people like Cloudwater and Siren

Cloudwater are pretty popular, a lot of people in the States seem to know of them. Some other amazing U.K. breweries are; Verdant, Deya, North, Northern Monk and Wylam.

I’m happy to talk about trans-Atlantic trades if anyone is interested.

Finally trying a version of All Together from Spyglass here in NH. It tastes like a NEIPA haha but it is a pretty good one. Tempted to make my own version some time this summer

A true beer/wine hybrid. Ale fermented with Grenache grapes aged for 2-years in French oak puncheons.
