Enter Shikari - Nothing is True & Everything is Possible (April 17, 2020) Album • Page 15

  1. Kind of interesting that Rou did some pop songwriting camps. I'm seeing more and more UK artists of his age and from the "scene" try this in the past few years.

He’s such a good hook writer, I’m fully ready for this band to go full pop now.

Absolutely love this album. In terms of release I would have selected 0/3 songs they chose to release prior to the full record.

  4. True even if it must have been difficult as so many songs are directly linked to interludes. I can't believe Satellites wasn't one of the prerelease singles though.

I love this more and more. Switching The King and Satellites really helps the ending too. So happy with it.

Would not be surprised if this band came out with an opera/full orchestra project in the future related to global warming. A couple of full orchestra shows with reimagined songs from the past in full band format with other reprises and stuff similar to Elegy.

I don't think The King or Satellites should be closers. It feels like a track is missing.

But if I had to choose, definitely The King should still be at the end.

  12. The King reminds me of Fanfare For The Conscious Man so much, so putting it at the end feels right. Perhaps not after Satellites though

It feels weird to critique this album because I think it's amazing, but if I'm nitpicking, it could do with a triumphant finale like An Ode to Lost Jigsaw Pieces.

This album doesn’t have any songs Id want to take away but I do agree that it doesn’t quiteeee stick the landing in the home stretch. Still think Constellations is their best ender for an album

Honestly, I wouldn't have hated seeing Elegy For Extinction be the final track.

  17. I thought about that as well. I think it would need to segue into a full band part or at least feature some vocals for that to fully work.

I'm fine with how Waltz ends it, I just think it needs something bigger before it.

    Nah, no, no thank you

  20. It feels weird for them to end an album with a short instrumental two times in a row

Listened to this again after giving it some time to breathe. Still really enjoying it. I'll be interested to see where this ends up at the end of the year.

What's everyone else listening to from this year?
