rewatching Vengeance 05 randomly and man, id put that final run of three matches up there with just about anything. this Angle/Michaels match doesn't get talked about nearly enough - it is a sloppier match to begin than the Mania one but it is kinda endearing, most of this feels like it was called on the fly which makes it especially impressive. there is a spot where HBK sets up Sweet Chin Music and rrrrreeeaaaallllyyy milks the setup and gets the crowd going apeshit for it and Angle fucking murders him with a lariat. finish doesn't play super well to 2020 eyes because the flying nothing counter has been done to death, but still. gonna have to watch their 30 min iron man from Raw, even if my memory tells me it went to a draw and fuck that booking

also insane that HBK/Angle never main evented a PPV

 

JR is also on fire for this show goddamn.

They look like wwe superstars. That's what made absolution stand out. Paige sonya and mandy all have that "look" that make them look special

Then smackdown had riot squad debut a day later and it took away some...and then paige gets hurt

I'd suspect they are Australian citizens and not US citizens, so they probably cant even legally leave the country. Unless the Australian government is like Florida and considers wrestling essential...

Hmm; I was only assuming because a lot of their not being on TV for most of the year had been attributed to them being in Australia during the bush fires. And because of people like Pete Dunne who obviously isnt able to travel back to the US right now
