Yeah iirc, that days drive may have been the longest stretch of constant driving on our trip without a non-meal stop (midway of Route 66 was mostly just a meal stop with a picture taken with the midpoint sign haha), 9+ hours. Was a pretty terrible drive. Didn’t get into Austin til later at night so we just went to some chain restaurant near the hotel for a late dinner. Might have been Buffalo Wild Wings? Either way, it was a hell of a drive

 

Ehh, I don’t know if he flat out admitted to sticking his fingers into someones body that people would be as forgiving. He’s better off supporting Reade’s right to be heard and have an investigation than trying to ignore it for sure, but this goes beyond just an uncomfortable hand on the shoulder or getting too close to their hair. Violating somebody like Reade is accusing him of goes a step beyond what I think at least some people are willing to overlook IMO

People trying to elevate this claim to the same levels as Reade remind me of the people who jumped on that other claim against Kavanaugh way too quickly and after it fell apart bad actors started using it to try and undercut Ford’s allegations. Bleh.

Seems weird when several of her friends said that she told them about it at the time it happened or a couple years after and are still standing by that.
So I wonder,
1. Did she just make it up back then and now remembered, "hm, I had that story I made up that I was telling people, let me bring it up again".
2. All of these people are in on it and she didn't actually tell them about it back then
3. It happened, but the timing is off

Just seems like a confusing story, that like you said, could just be used to discredit Tara Reade.

 

Yeah the Murry allegation would be really weird to be completely false because of so many people saying that she told her this 10 years ago. It’s also a comment, no allegation of inappropriate touching or anything like that. Would be strange to make up ten years ago and then come out and say it again now. I certainly don’t blame the reporter for publishing the story.

 

Biden supporters using this as a gotcha is ridiculous as well when Biden is on freaking video groping young women. As if this comment would be so hard to believe lol

 

I can’t tell old creepy white Dudes apart now. At 14, knowing what we know about memory, it could also be some other old white rich politician.

 

They probably shoulda done some digging to see if he was at the event before running it. And having it spread all over. That part was shoddy work and just bad journalism.
