restaurants will probably still rely on take out like they’ve been doing now. Some places near me have had higher take out sales when they were fully open before the pandemic

 

Well that would make sense considering take-out is the only option. But yeah, I guess the difference is you have to bring in more servers and people to do dishes and stuff, and those costs may not be taken care of by only serving 25% of your normal capacity in house. Would be a hard decision to make

 

i should add I live in the suburbs so I’d imagine it’d be really tough for places in cities with much higher rent

 

Eating *at* a restaurant just doesn't sound smart right now. And there are no movies coming out so opening the theaters seems pointless. Honestly the only thing I really want to be able to do right now is go to a baseball game but obviously that's not gonna happen.

Yeah the businesses that actually adhere to this (I forsee a lot of idiot business owners letting it as many people as possible), 25% ain't gonna do it. If they can even get that many people willing to come out

 

that's exactly the point of these states reducing their stay at home orders

 

I just wanna be able to watch a baseball game lol. Ramping up testing enough so sports teams can test their players daily would be nice in terms of keeping people occupied while in quarentine.

that's the whole point of this, right? open stuff up just enough you can boot people off unemployment and get small business owners screwed out of any sort of "can't operate" emergency funds.
