Awesome, pretty much how I feel. I've never played the original and I've only played a little of Secret of Mana so I don't have much to compare it to. I don't know anything about builds or classes so I'm mostly shooting in the dark but I'm still having fun doing it

 

You really can't go wrong with builds at all, pretty much any path you choose should be good, I love how you can look ahead and plan on what spells and abilities you want to go for in a really simple manner. I'm just about to do the second class change im pumped! Prob gonna be up all night playing haha

 

Anyone else play Valorant yet? I didn’t think a game would click for me like Overwatch did anytime soon but wow this came out of nowhere and I’m addicted to it.

Had my first 30k game today. Felt real good.

 

Might be worth adding some Last of Us filters on twitter. All of the cutscenes have been leaked. Supposedly by a disgruntled employee.

 

Safe to say if that person becomes known by the industry, they are blackballed by all game studios now

Like good job, Naughty Dog, you had a world class studio and then you squandered it, burning people out and making them disgruntled

 

If it actually was a disgruntled employee, they were probably pissed they crunched like hell to get the game out in May and then Sony/ND studio heads delayed it anyway. Not gonna blame that person for being pissed off and doing what they did. The game should’ve been released digitally on time.

At some point, these AAA studios that wear down their employees and treat them like cattle are going to have to learn their goddamn lesson. Maybe this will be the moment ND learns theirs.

 

I don't disagree with not treating their employees like shit, but the employee still broke their NDA. They shouldn't have done it. Because not only are you taking it out on the company, you're shitting on the fans who had nothing to do with it.

 

I don’t think the employee gives a shit about breaking their NDA, that’s kind of the whole point of doing this. Also I don’t give a shit either tbh. If this was really done by an angry employee, Naughty Dog and Sony made their bed when they crunched the workers and then delayed the game anyway. They refused to release the game as scheduled digitally because they were worried about losing money, and now they’ll lose money anyway because it’s all online. They’re reaping what they sowed. I can’t work up anything more than a shrug at this situation.

 

Also, they're actually adding more stress and pressure on the rest of the employees who were affected by the crunch and the poor working conditions. It's shitty from all sides and taking the disgruntled employee's side is just as stupid as taking the company's.

 

It’s disappointing for fans, whatever stand you’re taking on it. There’s things folks can do in situations like this, and it was a dumb career move. Not to mention the pressure this now puts on other employees.

Obviously the studios shouldn’t be crunching them. So don’t pretend like I’m okay with that before you swoop in and do so. But there’s far better ways to deal with this than to pull a stunt like that. He’s probably going to be sued out of his asshole for all he’s got.

The industry has been exposed for predatory crunch times and all that - it clearly hasn’t done much then and I doubt this is going to do much either other than potentially even get that guy a criminal record and permanently tarnish any chance of him getting another job in that field. That obviously sucks. Big time. Damn. What a ridiculous situation.

 

Personally I’m annoyed by both people spoiling as well as by the internet acting like being spoiled is a real personal tragedy

 

Yeah I’m just avoiding looking at any related news to it until it’s finally released now.

 

This doesn’t really add any stress or pressure to the employees considering the game is basically all done already and they’re just waiting to release it lol. All the crunch and stress and pressure happened over the course of like last summer to this February/March. Because the game was supposed to launch in May.

If this really was a worker retaliating against Naughty Dog and Sony for delaying the game they went through hell to get done, then I’m happy to side with them. It’s actually a pretty good way to get back at Naughty Dog’s leadership and Sony considering their motives for delaying the game.

If it was just someone doing it for the lulz then yeah that’s a scummy thing to do and I don’t condone it.

 

If they did it because the game was delayed after all the crunch and terrible working conditions, then I don't even blame them. Naughty Dog should have treated their employees better. The fans wouldn't have been spoiled if they did and the employees wouldn't have suffered through all that crunch. Win win.
