The only thing I would change about it, and I mean literally the only thing I would change, is the material. I’m a sucker for leather, and I wish it was a nice black leather. That’s it. I don’t particularly think leather would be a popular choice among the masses however.

 

Picking up my iPad Pro tomorrow since the delivery day got pushed back and my wife is going back to work because Georgia and no one will be here to sign for it now. Gonna be the longest day at work ever.

 

Dammit, I shattered the screen of my Apple Watch tonight... :(

 

Ordered the iPad Pro yesterday with magic keyboard. Managed to get a “educational discount” through my professional body. Saved about £150. So much for trying to save money during my time furloughed...

 

A little late to the game on this one, but thinking about getting the AirPods Pro. Anybody recommend them?

Unequivocally agree. Working from home with others around, I can tune them out with noise cancellation. I also use them at the gym (remember when we could go to gyms? :() / on runs and they’re a lifesaver to not deal with cords during cardio.

 

Exactly. Dunno what I would do without them. Listening to a rainstorm on the couch right now while there’s a full on exercise class going on in my kitchen. I’d be going mad without them.

 

Magic Keyboard for my iPad Pro came. Playing around with it as we speak. I only have the 11inch, so past of me wonders about going up to the 12.9 pro, but this is probably good enough. Despite knowing it’s heavy, I was still surprised haha when I actually pulled it out of the box.

 

Trying to convince myself I shouldn’t use the money my mom gave me for my birthday to get part of the way there on the keyboard. I didn’t get a birthday this year cause ... well the world is insane ... so maybe that would be a nice treat. Hmmmmm.

All the reviews are making this very difficult.

 

I thought very briefly about how this would feel on a 12.9”, which would basically be MacBook size, and if that’s something I could see myself wanting in the future. What I really love about the 11” though is it’s an ultra portable option that is great on the couch, great with smaller available desk space, and a much more manageable size when I just want to remove the iPad from the keyboard altogether. I love this thing so much, and have no hesitation in already calling it Apple’s best accessory ever.

 

Yeah I would rather stick with the 11 because I already have an Air and would love to use my iPad for everything not related to work and could see myself doing so. The trackpad is nice and everything is smooth. I’ll just have to adjust to the slightly smaller keyboard, and feel like that wouldn’t take too long tbh.

Wish it wasn’t so expensive but my parents put in half as a birthday present so I’m not out as much haha.

 

Debating iPad Pro vs. new MacBook Air now and while I'd love to have the tablet versatility of the Pro, I think I might find the iPad limiting for things like not having Logic, the ability to sync up relatively easy with my recording/speaker system, etc. May opt to bump up the storage/ram/processors on the Air and call it a day.

 

Anybody using a screen protector on their iPad Pro? Tried to order Paperlike after seeing it as a sponsor for a few review videos but I guess they’re located overseas and currently unable to ship to the US so my order got put on hold. Just ordered a cheap one on Amazon for the mean time but now I’m wondering if it’s even worth it/necessary? I guess I’m mainly concerned about the magic keyboard scratching it when it’s shut.

 

I've been considering paperlike for a while, but bummer to hear about that. otherwise ive never had a protector on any of my screened devices.

 

“iVisor matte screen protector” is the one I’ve heard good things about.

I got this screen protector since the paperlike reviews didn’t make it seem unequivocally better and despite my aversion to matte protectors I’ve been really happy with it. It feels more like construction paper than printer paper, and tbh I don’t like touching it very much bc of how grainy it is, but I’m super impressed at how minor the dip in screen resolution is. I think it’s negligible and worth the trade off if you want good drag with the pencil.

 

I do agree that they are great products when they work well, but a ton of people (myself included) have been having problems with crackling noise when using Noise Cancellation or Transparency.

 

I was just about to post I was having this issue. My resolution is usually just by putting back in the case and taking back out and it goes away for a bit. However, not something at the price tag I'm happy with. Had anyone tried taking them back to an apple shop before the 'rona?

 

It's worse in the right earbud for me, but the left does it too. Some people got them exchanged by Apple and the replacement started doing the same over time. Not sure if it's the right time to get a replacement because lately people have been receiving replacements with one earbud on an unreleased firmware that can't be paired.

 

Yep, they replaced the left one it was happening in with no questions asked. It was super easy. Just had to follow their directions to make sure the new one could be paired. I think it was keep everything in the charger for an hour. Then reset. Worked great for me.
