Well this tweet got me excited to watch a movie I didn’t know existed until just now.

 

Man, I got a Shudder notification about the premier of season two of The Last Drive In with Joe Bob Briggs. I got excited because it's exactly the kind of thing I'd love and I haven't spent much time with the show. I was enjoying it too, but now that I start to read more about the guy, his opinions on politics and culture are...not great, to say the least.

So I'm on Scream Factory's website, and I could use a hand whittling down my selections haha. There's currently 10 in my cart, and I need to AT LEAST cut it in half, if not down to three or four. Can anyone confirm that any of these definitely are or aren't worth about $15? Or if any of them are streaming somewhere convenient?

Gretel and Hansel was one of the prettiest wastes of time ever. The story was nothing special, but damn it looked good. I was waiting for Chelsea Wolfe to start playing the whole time. lol

 

I’m in the minority that really liked Gretel and Hansel

The Lodge just leaked, really looking forward to watching that soon

I'm cool with that. Those first two films are incredibly awesome. Some of the elements and creatures in the later films were badass too. Hopefully it veers away from that story though.

 

I'm a week late to the Apostle train but I just watched it and I liked it. I went in exclusively for Dan Stevens and he was good. Some cliche dialogue, felt a little overstuffed, but not bad as far as cheap thrills go

 

I've never been a fan of the hellraiser franchise. It's too weird for my liking.

I've slowly but surely been making my way through the staple horror movies. So I finally watched Friday the 13th and dropped a podcast on it today with @Alex DiVincenzo. Welcome to Geekdom | Friday the 13th

I think next up I'll have to watch the original Child's Play. I bought a box set for that and Friday, so I have a lot of horror movies to keep me busy for a while.

Good news. Goosebumps is much better suited for tv than film format.
