Oh. Yea, I disagree on it being a thing where Tom can come back. Would be awful. People and things change. Tom and blink are different and do not need to be together anymore. Let it be.

 

It took Travis almost dying to get them back together the first time

 

While I can't imagine there are too many more blink albums to come, I don't know why there would be an expiration date on blink. All three of them are pretty damn fit for their ages, and I can't imagine Mark, Matt or Travis stopping writing music. And the three of them are getting along great and having fun.

 

Simple fact remains - Mark doesn't like Tom... Tom has lost his musicianship, everything he creates now is going to sound like AVA, he is terrible at singing both in a studio and live, and he doesn't want to put in the time to right himself again

 

Agreed. Like Mark would say "yeah, in two years I think we'll be able to work productively together again" lol. After Tom took a shot at them for needing a producer, no chance Mark and Tom make music together again. And Tom's only fallen further into his own bizarre little world since.

 

I don't know if people just didn't respond to this because it is probably the only exception to the "literally anyone else will do" or if it's just because they rage closed their browsers when they saw it but HELL NO. Where's my dislike button?

 

Nothing you just said constitute as facts, let alone simple facts.

Do you have facts? Aren't we just expressing whether we want Tom back/think Tom will be back?

 

I would say Tom has lost his creativity, not his musicianship. But everything else there looks pretty spot on.

 

I don't have any facts, these are my thoughts. But his post started with "simple facts remain".

I can't imagine that Tom would allow Mark and Travis make money off of the Blink 182 name as well as songs that he wrote without a) getting a cut of the tour profits b) getting a cut of albums sold under the name "Blink 182" and c) retaining the right to return at any point to write and record with the band.

I could be wrong, but that would be really hard for me to believe.

Seems factual as we all have witnessed the "evolution" of what Tom has become over the last decade. Trying to defend that Tom is good live? That his style of singing hasn't changed into something that hardly resembles when he was at his best? That he can't commit to blink for an extended period of time?

 

Yeah I don't think we'll ever get a blink album with Tom again. And I'm not even sure I would want one.

Obviously never say never but I think with all the success Mark, Travis and Matt are having right now between the album sales, charts and tour, it goes to show them they don't need Tom anymore. The blink name is much more important than any one individual.

Right now there's just no way Mark, Tom and Travis could work together. How could Mark and Travis trust Tom again after he already left the band multiple times, 3 times that the public is aware of who knows if/how many we don't know about? After such a positive recording experience with Feldmann and touring with Matt, how could they go back to the toxic environment that surrounded Tom? Tom simply wants to do things on his terms and it's either on those terms or Tom.Is.Out.

 

Hahahaha I forgot about Tom.Is.Out.

 

It might seem factual but it's actually a mixture of opinions and gossip.

This album is almost certainly going to sell by the end of this year what Neighborhoods has sold in five years lol. Tom is nothing but toxic to blink at this point like you say.

 

Still can't believe what Tom has turned into post 2003 blink. It's sad that he's turned into a joke among fans of the band who grew up worshiping him.

 

Tom will be certainly back at some point. Money and time heal all wounds, just like they did the first time.

 

And what would you call everything you're guesstimating about the legalities of Tom's ties to blink?

Trying to speak for an incredibly complicated relationship between two people you don't know based on a few interviews is literally gossip and hearsay. There were periods where Tom couldn't commit to Blink yes, as I am sure there were times when Travis couldn't commit as well. Matt currently can't commit to Alkaline Trio. I don't see how any of this is relevant.

I'm not a Tombot or whatever, I was just part of a discussion where I expressed my thoughts on Tom coming back at some point. You made an inaccurate comment and decided to be snarky about it. So I corrected you.

 

My opinions? As implied by me saying "I can't imagine" and "I could be wrong but..."?
