The leaked Manchester United home kits are trash. Anybody know how much longer Adidas and Chevy have these things?

I don't see this one happening. Poch has done enough to earn himself a place at a club who are already competing at the top. Even if this whole new owner thing works out amazingly well, we're not going to be competing any time soon. We're probably in a worse state now than Southampton were when he joined them. I can't see him throwing away prime years of his career on such a gamble.

There's also the question of whether he wants to be painted with the sports wash brush.

Apparently, there's new evidence that confirms Crystal Palace are the oldest professional club in the world. It used to be Notts County but Palace are apparently one year older. Good info to know for your pub quizzes.

  13. I’ve always wondered if Chelsea hates Spurs as much as Spurs hate Chelsea. I’d be curious to see a poll of Spurs fans. Obviously Arsenal would be first, but I’d vote Chelsea. I’d like see how close it is.

Football rivalries fascinate me. Like how almost every team in the country hates Leeds for one reason or another. I remember reading the results of a survey that had asked fans of all 92 League teams in the UK to rank their 3 most hated teams. Most of the time the top two would be local teams (Middlesbrough would be Sunderland for example) but it was fascinating that the vast majority had Leeds in their top 3 somewhere.

Obviously history plays into it a lot, but it always made me chuckle at how some team from no where near them that has probably played them very rarely, like a Plymouth or some shit would have Leeds as one of their most hated teams.

  15. Yeah I’ve never understood the Leeds hate but I’m assuming that’s because I’m American and may not know some of the history with majority of English teams.

I think a lot of it comes down to how successful they were in the 70's (?) and the style of play they used to have. Leeds were always known as a very dirty team, even in the period where players would get hacked down regularly. Think the fans probably play into it a bit, like to cause a bit of trouble, but no where near the extent of teams like Millwall or West Ham.

I won't confess to be an expert mind. Most of my knowledge comes from being where I'm from where every football fan DESPISES Leeds and will be happy to tell you about it haha.

  17. haha I see

Do people hate Millwall because of that hooligan movie or is it more organic dislike?

Honestly hate Chelsea more than Arsenal. Mostly because of their shithead fans.

    Man, fuck Leeds.

  20. For me, I feel like Arsenal is a team I inherently don’t like just because I’m a Spurs fan. They don’t actually do anything that makes me hate them other than the trolling by their players. Their players are the most consistent at posting stuff about Spurs whenever we lose or they beat us.

With Chelsea, it’s a genuine dislike because of things on the field haha

Yeah the Arsenal dislike is just because we’re Spurs fans it feels like haha

Chelsea fans are racist, and yeah the on field stuff doesn’t help either. Absolutely despise losing to them.

  22. West Ham is like the weird cousin that no one likes who comes over every other Christmas and lies about his amazing job and girlfriend when he really has neither.

I haven't seen the movie, but the fans have a very justified reputation for being scum of the earth. Not to say they all are by no means, but always trouble with Millwall. Historically prided themselves on being hard men and kicking seven shades of shit out the other team on the pitch, and out of their fans outside the ground.

  24. Yeah, that’s pretty much the movie lol

I think it was a West Ham firm vs a Millwall firm as the main plot.
