Talking of IGOR, this new Westside Gunn album has a song with a Tyler verse and it's probably the first thing I've enjoyed of his in about 5 years.

New Shabazz anyone listen?

 

Damn Fast Learner, and Wet on new Shabazz are real cool. Very space-y album even for them.

 

Yeah, really digging it. Only wish it had a few more tracks on it.

 

New Westside Gunn album is cool, but he put far better projects in the past couple of years.

 

I think that the new Shabazz Palaces is no bueno, but I haven't liked their stuff since their second album, really. Westside Gunn album though I enjoyed quite a bit.

 

I've never been able to get into Shabazz Palaces, which is disappointing because Digable Planets is one of my favorite old school groups.

The Medhane tape is cool

 

A J Cole album right now would be amazing. Or a Kendrick album. Or a Frank Ocean album lol. Any of those or all of them would be amazing.

I grabbed it a few days back but haven't listened yet! I remember the last one was lo-fi raps in the same vein as Earl and MIKE and such but I've heard this one has a strong punk influence or something? I'm definitely going to give in a listen in the next couple days.

 

Yeah, it’s a lot different to his previous stuff. Very punky in places, noisy in others. Lotta anger and rightly so considering the subject matter. Reckon you’ll definitely like it.

 

Did anyone rec R.A.P. Ferreira to you? Lotta cool jazzy stuff on his latest album.

 

No but I’ll check it out
